Punjab Govt Announces Paid Internship Program With Rs. 65,000 Monthly Stipend

The Punjab government has announced a major internship program for young graduates and intermediate students, offering a monthly stipend between Rs. 55,000 and Rs. 65,000.

Under this initiative, more than 8,000 interns will receive financial support while gaining valuable teaching experience at public colleges across the province.

According to the details, intermediate-level interns will get Rs. 55,000 per month for seven months, while BS-level interns will receive Rs. 65,000 per month for ten months.

Each participant will also receive an experience certificate after completing the internship, helping them build a stronger professional portfolio and improving future job prospects.

The Punjab government has reserved 404 seats for religious minorities, 243 for differently-abled persons, and 40 for the transgender community, ensuring equal opportunities for all citizens.

A total budget of Rs. 4.217 billion has been allocated for the project, which will cover both stipends and administrative expenses.

Officials said the program aims to reduce financial pressure on students, encourage active participation in teaching activities, and prepare them for long-term academic and professional careers.
