Lahore: The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has announced a new price for AMI single-phase smart meters, setting it at Rs. 14,786 (excluding GST).
According to officials, the Material Management Department has formally notified all relevant sections, including the Director of Customer Services, before issuing the purchase order.
The company stated that cable charges will be applied separately as per the official rate list issued by the Regional Store Manager’s office.
Officials added that after including taxes and other costs, consumers may now have to pay nearly Rs. 20,000 in total for the installation of a single-phase smart meter.
Currently, LESCO has outsourced the procurement process of these smart meters to external suppliers.
